“Russian-by-birth, American-by-music… that’s how some describe New York jazz vocalist Svetlana. She’s recently put out her latest album, the work called “A Night at the Movies.” It’s a compilation of film classics - both classic and modern - with appearances by special guests like Wycliffe Gordon. Svetlana and Jay Daniels recently met in Manhattan to talk about the album and how her music has brought her family closer together. For more information on her tour schedule, visit http://www.svetlanajazz.com. Our thanks to Lydia Liebman for her help in making this interview possible.
