January 5, 2019 - In the Beginning
The musical art form of jazz is an element of continuous evolution. Yet even in 2019, many modern recordings feature elements from the beginnings of jazz and pop music. As we begin this new year, we not only feature new recordings of familiar classics, but we also take a look at the beginnings of the legendary careers for Sarah Vaughan, Ray Charles, Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, and others.
